“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”
C.S. Lewis

Hey everyone!
My name is Cole and I currently serve as a pastor at Historic Providence Church, in Graham, NC. In 2019 I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelors in Psychology, and in 2023 I graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with my M.Div in Christian Ministry. I am currently working on my PhD at Southeastern as well in Pastoral Theology. I am married to my best friend, Ellen, and we are blessed to be the parents of two daughters: Josie (2) and Piper (newborn).
Some hobbies of mine: I love to read, play guitar and piano, write music and poetry, hike, camp, and drink coffee. My favorite movie series is the Lord of the Rings and my all-time favorite book would have to be Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. My heroes of the faith are Charles Spurgeon, Tim Keller, C.S Lewis, John Piper, John MacArthur, the Reformers, and the Puritans.
If you’ve clicked on this tab you’re probably wondering what this site is all about. Well, for one, it is a space for me to share my thoughts on a variety of Christian topics such as Scripture, ministry, theology, culture, philosophy, and personal experiences. I am very passionate about these subjects and love to write. Therefore, I figured I would create a space to do just that. Second, this site is for any who has any interest whatsoever in Christianity. Whether you are new to it, or whether you have been a follower of Jesus for years, my hope is that through this blog you will find thought-provoking ideas, understanding, and encouragement. And lastly, I dedicate this blog to the Lord. I pray the Holy Spirit will guide me as I write these blogs; I pray the heart of Christ will be evident through what I write; and I pray that all the glory be given to the Father, who is worthy.
In Christ’s Service,
Cole
